![]() You can follow these tracks to skip the walkway, but the tracks will slow you down like dirt and grass sections. Just before the spiraling walkway will be minecart tracks, with the carts going from left to right into a tunnel. Taking this specific shortcut will get you the " Minekarting" Trophy if done during a race without taking damage. Rather than going around the lake, hop through the waters to skip the turn! Just don't touch the pile of treasure, as that's out of bounds and will get you reset. The first shortcut on this track is located in the dragon's treasure hoard room. Jump and keep turning hard right, and you'll jump right across! Speed, Acceleration and Drift characters may need to perform a U-Turn or mid-air Brake Slide to make this jump. To do this, approach the ramp at top speed, then go up the ramp itself by Power Sliding up to the right-hand corner. Leading into the U turn at the end of the track will be a giant ramp, which you can use to jump right and cut right through the corner and land on the other side. The final shortcut is one of the trickier jumps to make in the game. You should only take this shortcut for the " Pyramid Parkour" Trophy. This is because the final jump has you spend too much time in the air (you're faster on the ground), and you cannot take the corner before the U-Turn as well as you can from the main route. You can actually jump here from the first shortcut, but you need to be intentionally turning towards it at high speed to make the left-hand jump.ĭespite all of the above, this isn't considered a real shortcut by expert players. You need to take this shortcut to get the T in this track's CTR Challenge. Jump off the left side of the top step to land on a roadway with Wumpa Fruit on it. There will be a series of steps that drop down underneath the start of the track, with a Turbo Pad on right side at the top of the steps. The third shortcut is right after the first. From here you can Power Slide back down onto the main track, or jump much more left to land onto Shortcut #3. Jump through the gap at top speed to land on the pillar with Papu Papu's face on it. When you get to the corner at the end of the first Piranha Plant section, you'll see a wall with a gap in the middle. The catch is that ? Crates are scarce leading up to it, so if you intend to take the shortcut and get a weapon that can open it, you should hold onto it until you get to the shortcut entrance. The golden wall will retract to reveal a corner-cutting tunnel when damaged, so you can hit it with Bowling Bombs and Masks, or thrown Potions and Power Shields. After coming out of the first tunnel, at the bottom of the slope on the left wall will be a giant stone head with a flat section underneath it made of gold. Taking this second, much easier shortcut will unlock the " Let me in!" Trophy if you use it. ![]() As you head towards the first tunnel, hop four times to mitigate the grass slowdown, then start Power Sliding to build up your Reserves again and maintain Sacred Fire. If you do have Sacred Fire and Reserves, jump left from the start line into the grass, then pull a mid-hop U-Turn around the corner of the wall. Hop rapidly three times to mitigate the grass slowdown, then enter a Power Slide to build your Reserves back up. Jump off the left side of it onto the third hill, then jump back into the grass towards the first tunnel. Grab your Power Slide Turbos and aim for the second dirt hill on the main course. If you don't have Sacred Fire and lots of Reserves, jump left from the start line to land in the grass and start Power Sliding. It does however require a different approach depending on if you have Sacred Fire and a lot of Reserves. The first shortcut in Tiger Temple is for expert play, as it requires good knowledge and skill with grass hopping to prevent slowdown while also keeping your Reserves in tact.
